At the first hint of cool mornings and turning leaves, I turn into the Energizer Bunny. I’ve never figured out why that is, but some of my best work has been done in the fall.
I started this fall by rearranging my studio so that I will now be able to accommodate small classes of two to four students. If you are interested in an Animal Portrait class, contact me about scheduling it. I think these are going to be fun for all involved. Students will have access to a stash of fabrics that seems to increase instead of decrease! All supplies will be provided; all you bring is your photo to work from.
While I was on the cleaning and rearranging kick, I also whittled down a lifetime of books. Don’t worry! There are still plenty of books around to gather dust. I just don’t need to keep around books that I will never read again. Better to pass them along to others. The last of the VHS tapes are gone also. Now if only I could convince myself to jettison the cassette tapes, I would truly feel unencumbered.
The next flurry is my long-awaited collage class with Elizabeth St. Hilaire Nelson next week. There is painting to be done and packing to complete. I better get to it.
